Class Photo Album
We need photos (past and present) for the online class photo album. E-mail them to the Alumni Association and include a caption. Your photos will be posted within one week. (Note that these photo albums are currently not password protected, so anyone can view them. In the upcoming months, they will be protected so that only alumni can view them.)

New job? Great vacation? Just moved? Tell your classmates what is going on in your life. Send news to your class correspondent to be included in your class column in the University of Chicago Magazine. (Don’t forget to submit contact information updates to the Alumni Association.)

Class Reunion
In January 1958, during the Class of 1961’s first academic year at the University, America sent its Explorer satellite into space. We chose the Explorer as our Reunion logo because it symbolized the new frontiers of knowledge we were exposed to at the University. It was with the spirit of adventure and exploration that more than 30 of our classmates returned to campus to celebrate our 45th Reunion at Alumni Weekend 2006, June 1-4.

Throughout the weekend, campus bustled with tours, exhibits, and performances. Faculty led discussions on topics ranging from Plato and Shakespeare to Google and genetics. Classmates dined and caught up with each other at the Friday night reunion dinner held at the new Graduate School of Business. Our class won the Green Gargoyle Award for overall outstanding achievement.

On Saturday morning at Convocation, alumni who are leaders in their professions and communities were honored for their contributions to the University and to the world. Our classmate Bertram Cohler was honored for their contributions with a Norman Maclean Faculty Award. After the Convocation ceremony, we celebrated at the festive University Picnic and participated in lively lectures and discussions at the UnCommon Core. Saturday evening, we enjoyed a lavish dinner and dancing at the ChicaGO Party gala, held at the new Ratner Athletics Center.
