Class Photo Album
We need photos (past and present) for the online class photo album. E-mail them to the Alumni Association and include a caption. Your photos will be posted within one week. (Note that these photo albums are currently not password protected, so anyone can view them. In the upcoming months, they will be protected so that only alumni can view them.)

Class News
New job? Great vacation? Just moved? Tell your classmates what is going on in your life. Send news to your class correspondent to be included in your class column in the University of Chicago Magazine. (Don’t forget to submit contact information updates to the Alumni Association.)

Class Reunion
The Class of 1966 celebrated its 40th Reunion at Alumni Weekend 2006, June 1-4, with more than 70 classmates attending. (Our class won the award for the highest class attendance at the reunion!) Campus bustled with tours, exhibits, and performances all weekend long. Faculty led discussions on topics ranging from Plato and Shakespeare to Google and genetics. On Thursday night, we got an early start to the weekend festivities at an informal get-together at Ida Noyes Hall. We shared photos and memorabilia, and classmate Rich Freer presented a slide show.

On Friday night, we dined and caught up with each other at our reunion dinner held at the Quad Club. Our class dinner provided a unique opportunity to reconnect with one another and with favorite faculty, including Herman Sinaiko (Humanities), Michael Murrin (English), David Orlinsky (Social Sciences), Stephen Berry (Chemistry), Katy Weintraub (Social Sciences, Jock’s widow), and Peter Butterfield, who taught Art when we were on campus. After dinner, we enjoyed a blues concert reminiscent of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band at the Quad Club bar.

On Saturday morning at Convocation, alumni who are leaders in their professions and communities were honored for their contributions to the University and to the world. After the Convocation ceremony, we celebrated at the University Picnic. Saturday afternoon, we traveled down memory lane with The College and Scarface and Aphrodite (a Claes Odenburg Happening), documentary films produced in the early 1960s by Vernon Zimmerman, AB’62, (who went on to a career in horror films). Saturday evening, we dined and danced at the lavish ChicaGO Party gala at the Ratner Athletics Center. Sunday morning, we said farewell and made plans to meet again at a brunch held at Anna (Hollinger) and Mark Siegler’s home.

We’ll see you at our next reunion on campus June 2-5, 2011. In the meanwhile, make sure to check out activities in your region. To keep in touch with classmates and to find their most current information, go to the Alumni Directory.
