First and second-year students are encouraged to apply for as many externship opportunities as interest them, though each chosen extern will only be offered ONE externship. Applying for more externships increases your chances of being selected. To apply to be an extern, you must submit a resume and separate application letter for each externship through InterviewTRAK by no later than Midnight on January 21, 2008.
If you are not already activated on InterviewTrak, please read below: To register and be activated for InterviewTRAK, you must have your resume reviewed by a CAPS staff member and sign the InterviewTRAK activation agreement. You may do this by either setting up an appointment at 773/702-7040 or coming to CAPS walk-in hours on the third floor of Ida Noyes Hall, Monday-Friday, 11:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
If you are not already activated on UChicagoTrak, you must create an account for yourself prior to your InterviewTrak appointment at CAPS. To be taken to UChicagoTrak, please click https://caps.uchicago.edu/uchicagotrak/. This takes just a few minutes!

Selection Criteria
Students will be selected for an externship by the Alumni application reviewers on the basis of the quality of their resumes and application letters. There will be no interviews.

neither reimbursed nor subsidized. However, there are many externships

I know, from my participation on campus in Eckhart Consulting, the importance of training for a consultant, but seeing that notion applied in the real world of consulting was an enlightening experience. For myself personally, I am very interested in the consulting industry. I know that as third-year internships approach, I will be applying to a good number of consulting firms and definitely Katzenbach Partners, in particular. That is why this experience was invaluable to me: I now have a very good idea about many facets of the industry that both confirm my interest in the field and enhance my ability to get a job in that field.
