Kermit began his career as a professor at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he published in leading academic journals and developed expertise in data-driven analytic problem-solving. His team developed sophisticated statistical analyses that provided novel pricing insight that enabled improvements in pricing policies. Based on this analysis, the team created a custom pricing tool that recommended pricing based on the characteristics of prospective transactions. Kermit’s team then worked with the Sales group to modify policies and practices to improve pricing effectiveness. The company estimated that the resulting pricing improvements led to $13 million revenue improvement in the first year.
