The University of Chicago Alumni Association is committed to preserving the privacy of alumni. This site has a secure, password-protected, alumni-only area to allow alumni to conveniently connect with one another. Services included in this area are the Online Alumni Directory, Event Registration, and the Alumni Careers Network.

1. The University of Chicago Online Alumni Directory offers the ability for all alumni to suppress publication of their data, either in full or on a partial basis.

2. The information on this site will not be used for any commercial or philanthropic purpose not directly connected with or approved by the University of Chicago - nor will copies be made - nor will the original information or facsimile be given, lent, or sold to any other individual or organization, unless we are required by law to provide such information.

3. A "cookie" is a small piece of information that a Web site stores on your Web browser on your computer and can later retrieve. We use cookies only to store an active login session, which enhances the experience of the visitor who goes back and forth between the public and private, alumni-only area of the site. Once you close your Web browser, the cookie automatically terminates. You can set up your Web browser to inform you when cookies are set or to prevent cookies from being set.

4. When an alumnus/a subscribes to a particular mailing list or provides an e-mail address for other purposes, his or her e-mail address - as provided by the individual - is recorded. That address is used for sending out future mailings via e-mail. That address may also be used for general Alumni Association announcements. If you do not wish to receive such mailings or announcements, please contact us at the e-mail address below.

5. Neither the University of Chicago nor the University of Chicago Alumni Association shall be liable for any direct or indirect, special, incidental, or consequential losses or damage arising out of the use or misuse of this site or the content of any message sent by or to site users.
