Ireland Family Adventure
August 10-19, 2008

You’re invited to join Professor James Chandler in Ireland on our 10-day Ireland Family Adventure. With its lush green hills, sea-swept islands, and charming cities, Ireland is an ideal destination for families. Participants of every age will enjoy a high-speed ferry ride across sparkling Irish seas to the remote and culturally rich Aran Islands; a walk among Bronze Age ruins and ancient stone forts in the limestone landscape known as The Burren; and the view from the Cliffs of Moher (made famous as the “Cliffs of Insanity” in the 1987 film The Princess Bride). You and your children or grandchildren can ride a Connemara pony across emerald hills; kiss the mysterious Blarney Stone to earn the reward of eloquence; try cow-milking and sheep-herding at a traditional Irish farm; and take in a sporting match at Dublin’s beloved stadium, Croke Park. We hope that you are able to join your fellow Chicago alumni for this special journey to Ireland. Cost: From $5,490 plus airfare for an adult and from $4,990 plus airfare for children.
